FP7 SECURE-R2I Project: First Summer School in Tallinn, Estonia

22.07.2014

In October 2013 Intelligentsia started FP7 SECURE-R2I, a major new EU project aimed at reinforcing security related technology-transfer between European and Eastern Partnership Countries. Recently, at the beginning of June 2014, the first Technology Transfer Summer School organised within the framework of the project, took place in Tallinn, Estonia.

The Summer School targeted primarily young researchers and other staff working for the SECURE-R2I consortium partner organisations and constituted a 5-day training course divided on several modules: commercialisation of research results; contractual issues in the technology transfer process between publicly funded research and private industry; technology transfer negotiations and the art of reaching agreement; making the business case for technology opportunities (practical bridge-building between science and business), and evaluating the real potential of a business idea.

Being the initiator of the project proposal and project coordinator, Intelligentsia took an active part in organisation of the Summer School, supporting Technology Innovation International, the consortium partner responsible for the preparation of the training course.
