QUEST Project Kicks Off in Montpellier, aiming to further support the breakthrough development of Quantum Reservoir Computing!
18 September 2024
On 9th September, the new sister project QUEST, which shares many partners with the QRC-4-ESP initiative, was officially launched with a kick-off meeting in Montpellier.
QUEST's mission is to enhance the scientific and innovative potential of Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem alongside its Twinning partners: Linköpings universitet, Loughborough University, Aalto University, JustInMind SL, and Intelligentsia Consultants Sarl. Together, they aim to support the construction of a cutting-edge quantum reservoir computing (QRC) system using silicon carbide (SiC) defect qubits. The project, spanning three years, will focus on five key objectives:
- Pioneering research to develop a QRC system based on SiC defect qubits.
- Promoting knowledge-sharing between ELTE and its partners through exchanges, seminars, and training sessions.
- Supporting the career growth of early-stage researchers at ELTE and partner institutions.
- Enhancing ELTE’s administrative skills for European R&D projects.
- Strengthening the academic and research reputation of ELTE and its Twinning partners.
The kick-off meeting brought together experts from ELTE (Viktor Ivady, Anett Simon-Zsók, Gellért Dolecsek, Dóra Szécsényi), Linköpings universitet (Igor Abrikosov, Oscar Bulancea Lindvall), Loughborough University (Alexandre Zagoskin), Aalto University (Tapio Ala-Nissilä), JustInMind SL (Enrique Cano), Intelligentsia Consultants (Giles Brandon), and the University of Montpellier (Patrick Navez, Emmanuel Rousseau).
We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey, paving the way for groundbreaking developments in quantum reservoir computing!
